Trump considering two new names for VA secretary

President-elect Trump has added two new candidates to the mix for secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Trump on Tuesday met with businessman and Vietnam veteran Luis Quinonez at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla. The incoming Republican leader also met with Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove. Both, according to a report in Bloomberg News, are under consideration to discuss leading the troubled federal agency.

The Veterans Affairs slot is one of the few remaining department positions that has not been filled. Other candidates being considered for the position are former U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Thad Allen, Fox News commentator and veteran Pete Hegseth, former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown and retiring House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller.
