BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) — The McLean County coroner and the Bloomington fire chief have jointly announced plans to retire in mid-November.
Beth Kimmerling, county coroner for the past 14 years, and Mike Kimmerling, a 27-year veteran of the fire department, said Friday that they will step down from their positions. The husband and wife, who reside in Normal, both cited a desire to spend more time with family due to the emotional demands of their jobs.
