Former President Donald Trump endorsed South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster in his reelection bid, calling him a “fabulous chief executive” for his state.
McMaster rolled back some of the restrictions in place over the coronavirus pandemic Friday, announcing that face masks would no longer be mandatory in government buildings.

“Henry McMaster has been a great governor for the wonderful people of South Carolina,” Trump said in a statement. “He is strong on the military, our vets, crime, and the Second Amendment.”
McMaster has his “complete and total endorsement” as he runs for reelection, Trump added.
McMaster, a Republican who was loyal to Trump during his presidency, first assumed office in 2017.

McMaster’s executive order would begin facilitating the return of bringing state employees back to the workplace on a full-time basis.
