Self-described “genius” Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, saw his Instagram account receive a temporary suspension for violating the platform’s guidelines.
The rapper and fashion designer’s account was issued a 24-hour suspension relating to a post that included racial slurs while describing television personality Trevor Noah, according to a report.
The post was removed, but screenshots of the remarks have already been shared online.

Ye is harassing his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, Noah said during a Tuesday segment on The Daily Show, according to the report.
“It’s spun into a story that seems fully tabloid, but I think deserves a little more awareness from the general public. … I know everyone thinks it’s a big marketing stunt,” Noah said.
“Two things can be true: Kim likes publicity. Kim is also being harassed. Those things can be happening at the same time.”
Instagram has confirmed the suspension will stay in place for 24 hours, the report noted.
However, it could be extended pending additional community guideline violations, according to Instagram.
Several posts remain on Ye’s inactive Instagram account.
They shine a light on the rapper’s issues with Kardashian and his apparent disdain for her new boyfriend, Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson.
