Three men have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Dundalk man last month, who was found in a second-floor bedroom of his home, police said.
Eric Fountain, 44, was shot in the arm and the chest on the night of Sept. 8 during an apparent robbery at his home in the 2100 block of Larkhall Road, police said.
A witness told investigators that the boyfriend of Fountain?s stepdaughter was the intended target of the robbery, according to court records. Randy Hudson, 28, drove to Larkhall to pick up his infant daughter and was jumped when he got out of his car, the records say.
“Hudson was grabbed around the neck from behind and pulled into the alley,” they say. “The suspects continually asked victim Hudson where the money was.”
Arrested Friday night and charged with murder were Christian Lee, 21, John Satterfield, 31, and 18-year-old Darnell Smith, police said.
Hudson was a known drug dealer, the witness told police. His assailants pulled $3,000 in cash out of his pockets in the alley, the documents say.
Using Hudson?s keys, at least two of the suspects entered the home and found Fountain on the second floor, they say.
The witness reported to police that Fountain was shot after he charged one of the suspects, the documents say.
