Eric Trump: More administration appointments ‘likely’ to be revealed Wednesday

President-elect Trump is “likely” to reveal more appointments to his administration on Wednesday, his son Eric told reporters inside Trump Tower.

The incoming Republican president has announced only two key appointments since his sweeping election victory last Tuesday: Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus for chief of staff and former Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steve Bannon as his senior White House counselor.

But the younger Trump encouraged reporters early Wednesday morning to be on the lookout for additional announcements from the president-elect and his transition team, according to a pool report.

He did not respond to further questions about whether Trump’s team plans to announce any Cabinet-level appointments on Wednesday.

Trump is said to be considering several of his most loyal supporters for Cabinet positions within his administration, including former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani or Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker for secretary of state, former Goldman Sachs partner Steven Mnuchin for treasury secretary and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions for defense secretary.

The president-elect also met with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Tuesday evening, who is now rumored to be under consideration for attorney general.
