Existence, evolution at heart of Maryland Art Places? new exhibit

The multi-media exhibit displays works from 19 artists who grapple with the natural world and human experience. Participating artists include: Julia Blaukopf, Anne Canfield, Andrea Cote, Jarrett Min Davis, Lillian Bayley Hoover, Darla Jackson, Joelle Jensen, John Karpinski, Rafaelo Kazakov, Mark Khaisman, Jedediah Morfit, Matthew Neff, Caleb Nussear, Tara O?Brien, Serena Perrone, Binod Shrestha, Amy Stevens, Jeffrey Stockbridge and Brian Zegeer.

Pearson reveals quiet beauty

Julia Pearson?s “Refracted Journeys” exhibit shows large, thought-provoking color photographs of hidden and abandoned spaces in and beyond Baltimore.Pearson?s works will be on display at Load of Fun Gallery through March 15. Pearson is the owner of Pantheon Editions, a fine art digital printmaking studio at Load of Fun that specializes in exhibit prints and editions for photographers and artists working in two dimensional media. Looking at the dark side

Some art works reach beyond happy expressions to explore a darker psychological place. In Antreasian Gallery?s latest exhibit, Steven Archer and Adam Collison question life. Sketch plastinated and live models

Break out your easels, pads and charcoal pencils for the Maryland Science Center?s Artists Sketch Night April 1. Amateur and professional artists will have the opportunity to sketch live, nude models and plastinates on display in the Body Worlds exhibit from 6 to 9 p.m. Chairs will be provided. Tickets are required. Admission costs $19 for adults or $16.50 for students with ID. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis.
