Hillary Clinton under fire for elevating woman accused of putting ‘progressives on hit list’ on Twitter

Hillary Clinton is under fire to delete a quote tweet she sent that featured commentary from a Vice President Kamala Harris supporter who is accused of making a “hit list” on Democrats.

“Hillary Clinton just quote tweeted the #KHive woman who recently put @marwilliamson and number of other progressives on hit list. I hope she apologizes and disavows this kind of toxic, hate fueled politics,” Briahna Joy Gray, former Bernie Sanders national spokeswoman, tweeted.

Her comment came in response to Clinton quote tweeting a message from “#KHive woman,” otherwise known as a Harris supporter, Chantay Berry, about lowering the eligibility age for Medicare.

“For those praising Bernie Sanders on proposing to lower the age eligibility for Medicare, it was actually then-First Lady Hillary Clinton who came before the Senate back on 1993,” Berry tweeted on Sunday, accompanied by a video of Clinton.

Clinton quote-tweeted the message with an emoji depicting a pair of eyes.

Others joined Gray in demanding Clinton delete the tweet or criticizing her for it, including political strategist Peter Daou.

Berry is accused of making a hit list against liberal Democrats, which includes failed presidential candidate Marianne Williamson, saying in a March tweet they “may go through some things pretty soon.”

But Berry argues the list is not threatening, which she backed up on Tuesday by saying Twitter has not removed it from the platform.
