Alec Baldwin to Trump after Emmy win for portrayal of president: ‘Here is your Emmy’

Actor Alec Baldwin jokingly gave his Emmy award to President Trump after host Stephen Colbert said Trump might never have run for president had he won the award for his reality show in 2004 or 2005.

“I guess I should say at long last, Mr. President, here is your Emmy,” Baldwin said during his acceptance speech at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday.

Baldwin won an Emmy for best supporting actor in a comedy series for his portrayal of Trump on “Saturday Night Live.”

Trump was nominated for an Emmy in 2004 and 2005 for “The Apprentice,” but never won.
