A Texas state official celebrated Donald Trump’s slight lead over Hillary Clinton in a new poll of Pennsylvanians by calling the Democratic nominee a vulgar term.
The Republican agricultural commissioner said Clinton was a “cunt” in a tweet Tuesday afternoon. Miller deleted the tweet shortly afterward, but not before the original message could be captured in a screenshot.

Campaign spokesman Mark Loeffler defended Miller on Tuesday, telling the Dallas Morning News he had not written the tweet and believed the account had been hacked.
“Clearly this is something that Sid Miller would never tweet out. This is language that he finds disgusting and it’s unconscionable,” Loeffler said. “I think until we get to the bottom of who actually did it, it was something done to make Sid Miller — and by extension, Donald Trump — look bad.”
Miller has previously shared controversial statements on his social media accounts, including a call for the U.S. to bomb “the Muslim world.” He also has compared Syrian refugees to rattlesnakes.
Earlier in the day, Miller tweeted messages touting Trump’s 1-point lead over Clinton, but he did not use offensive language against Clinton.
