An inmate facing life in prison for murder is on the loose after he managed to escape his Arkansas prison for the second time.
The Arkansas Department of Corrections announced Monday that 49-year-old Calvin Adams was missing from the East Arkansas Regional Unit, located about 17 miles southeast of Forrest City in Lee County.
“Inmate Calvin Adams # 105046 has escaped from the East Arkansas Regional Unit in Brickeys. Adams is doing a Life Without Parole Sentence out of Greene County. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement,” the Arkansas Department of Corrections said in a tweet.

Although no further details have been released on Adams’ most recent escape, in 2009 he and another man wore guard uniforms and managed to walk out of the prison and into a waiting car, according to the Associated Press. The duo was apprehended in New York state just four days later.
Adams was convicted of capital murder stemming from a 1995 kidnapping and shooting death of a man in Greene County.
