The stylists at the Bubbles Salon at Towson Town Center recently donated $1,000 to support the Maryland Food Bank’s efforts to distribute free food to the state’s hungry during the holiday season. The stylists won the 14th Annual Hair Wars hairstyling competition, hosted by the Bubbles chain of salons, and the $1,000 was their first-place prize.
“We voted as a team to donate our winnings to a cause that would help brighten the holidays for individuals in our community,” said stylist Sharon So in a statement. “With the unstable economy, the food bank is in critical need of support to help fill the shortages at food pantries in Baltimore and throughout the state.”
