Demonstrators erected a teepee outside of Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., on Friday as they protested the Trump administration’s approval of the Dakota Access and Keystone XL oil pipelines.
As part of a four-day protest, hundreds of Native Americans and environmentalists took to the streets of D.C., on Friday expressing concern about the pipelines’ potential threat to land and water sources. The protesters had erected a teepee camp next to the Washington Monument on the National Mall earlier in the week.

Some of the demonstrators could be seen carrying a large blow-up pipeline prop with the words “No consent.” Others were carrying flags and signs that read “Water is life.”
Trump signed off on executive actions in January to advance the pipelines that were blocked by the Obama administration.
