Trump accepts apology from Mexico’s Fox

Donald Trump said Thursday night that he accepted an apology from former Mexican President Vicente Fox, who said Wednesday he was sorry for using harsh language to criticize the all but certain Republican presidential nominee.

“Vicente Fox was on television last night and he apologized, and I accept his apology,” Trump told a crowd in West Virginia.

“I thought it was very nice. Did you see it? Honestly? I thought it was very, very nice, because I was giving him a little hard time about something, and he apologized,” Trump said. “He was the former president of Mexico, and I thought it was very nice that he apologized.”

“OK? That’s good, that’s good. Because we’re going to have great relationships with Mexico, but we need a border,” Trump added.

Trump’s call for a border wall, and his refrain that Mexico will pay for it, prompted Fox to say this year that he wouldn’t pay for Trump’s “f—king wall.”

“I apologize,” Fox told Breitbart News on Wednesday. “Forgiveness is one of the greatest qualities that human beings have, is the quality of a compassionate leader. You have to be humble. You have to be compassionate.”
