2020 long-shot presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced that she will participate in the next Democratic presidential primary debate after she publicly considered boycotting the event.
Gabbard announced that she would be participating in Tuesday night’s debate with the 11 other qualified candidates on social media Monday morning.

Last week, the Hawaii representative accused the Democratic National Committee and “the corporate media” of “trying to usurp” the role of voters by “attempting to replace the roles of voters in the early states using polling and other arbitrary methods which are not transparent or democratic.”
“In order to bring attention to this serious threat to our democracy and to ensure that your voice is heard, I’m seriously considering boycotting the next debate,” Gabbard added.

Gabbard has already reached the donor threshold of 165,000 donors to qualify for November’s primary debates. However, she has yet to qualify through any of the polls. She needs to reach at least 3% in at least four polls or 5% in two early state polls.
