A car in Vice President Joe Biden’s motorcade collided with three vehicles in Wilmington, Del., on Monday morning, state police confirmed.
A person was injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. One of the cars involved was driven by a Delaware state trooper.
Biden was not being transported by the Secret Service at the time of the incident, according to the vice president’s office.
State police spokesman Master Cpl. Jeffrey Hale told Delaware Online the motorcade vehicle struck a state trooper’s car and two others. Details, including whether other vehicles were parked or moving, have not yet been released.
Biden’s secondary residence is in Wilmington, where he regularly spends the weekend.
