107,000 attend last day of Electric Daisy Carnival

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say they counted 12 drug-related arrests and responded to one pedestrian who was stuck by a car on the last night of the Electric Daisy Carnival.

Organizers with Insomniac Events say nearly 107,000 people came out to the rave for its last night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Overall numbers for the three-day festival have not yet been released.

Authorities counted 190 medical calls, including seven in which patients were taken to the hospital.

They also responded when a 31-year-old man from Florida was hit by a truck while crossing the street an hour before the festival ended.

Friends said the man had been drinking before the crash. He was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
