Video captured in Mexico showed a Carnival cruise ship colliding into another as pilots maneuvered the boat in to dock.
The video shows the Carnival Glory colliding with the Carnival Legend, which was docked in Cozumel, Mexico, on Friday.
“Carnival Glory had a collision with Carnival Legend this morning in Cozumel. Carnival Glory was maneuvering to dock when it made contact with Carnival Legend which was already alongside,” the cruise line said in a statement. “We are assessing the damage, but there are no issues that impact the seaworthiness of either ship. We have advised guests from both ships to enjoy their day ashore in Cozumel.”

Photos taken of the Glory show extensive damage to the stern of the ship. The ship was evacuated after the incident. Although nobody was injured in the collision, one person suffered a minor injury during the evacuation.
Carnival Glory cruise ship hit Carnival Legend while maneuvering in Cozumel this morning, the cruise line says:
“We are assessing the damage but there are no issues that impact the seaworthiness of either ship.”
