FAIRFAX CITY, Va. (AP) — Authorities say a fiery multi-vehicle crash in Fairfax City has killed a woman and an 8-year-old child and left two others injured.
Police say a Honda Civic traveling east on Lee Highway sideswiped a vehicle and then hit a minivan near Jermantown Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say the driver of the Honda Civic and the 8-year-old were killed, and a 6-year-old was critically injured. The driver of the minivan was also hospitalized but was expected to survive.
Police are investigating.
