An Amber Alert for a 2-day-old infant was issued on Wednesday after her mother was found fatally shot on Tuesday in Tennessee.
The Memphis Police Department said it is searching for Kennedy Hoyle after officers found her 27-year-old mother dead near an abandoned vehicle, according to a statement. Officers said preliminary information revealed the mother was shot.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, which issued the alert, said the newborn was last seen in the area of Sedgwick Drive and Levi Road wearing a black-and-white polka-dot onesie with pink pants. The infant has brown hair and eyes, according to a post on Twitter.

Kennedy was last seen wearing a black and white polka dot onesie with pink pants.
She is 6lbs. and 17 inches long. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said the investigation is open and did not identify the mother.
