Bike path planned near Union Station

A new bike path is in the works for First Street near Union Station.The Green Lane Project, created by Bikes Belong Foundation, a national nonprofit from Boulder, Colo., has already made its presence known in the Washington area with projects on L and M streets scheduled to begin this summer.The new two-way cycle track near Union Station is only in the planning stages but is said to run from Columbus Circle to New York Avenue. Bikes Belong is working in six major cities, and officials hope the Green Lane Project will get more people on more bicycles.
