Snoop Dogg prepared himself for Super Bowl 56’s halftime show with a special warm-up.
Before going onstage, the award-winning rapper took a few puffs of what appears to be marijuana, according to footage of the moment released on social media.
The NFL has stringent policy measures surrounding drug use, leading many to believe Snoop would be unable to spark up — but the Doggfather found a way.

“It is legal for adults 21 or older to possess and consume cannabis [marijuana, weed, pot] in California,” according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

However, young children and pregnant women are advised to refrain from using marijuana, according to the agency.
“Smoke from cannabis contains many of the same toxins and chemicals found in tobacco smoke and inhaling it can increase your risk of developing lung problems,” according to the department of public health. “Young people who use cannabis regularly can harm their memory and ability to learn. There is also a greater risk for depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia.”
Snoop and Dr. Dre opened the show with “The Next Episode,” and the pair was joined by Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Eminem.
The show has received widespread praise online.
