Fox News had the largest audience for Robert Mueller’s testimony in front of two House committees on Wednesday, with CNN coming in last out of the six networks that broadcasted it.
Mueller testified regarding his two-year-long investigation, which concluded that neither the president nor a member of his campaign conspired with Russia to win the president election.
Fox News’s audience during his testimony averaged 3.03 million viewers, according to Early Nielsen Media Research. No other network surpassed the 3 million viewer mark. MSNBC and ABC came in second and third respectively, with audiences of 2.4 and 2.1 million viewers.
CBS and NBC just missed out on the 2 million marker.
CNN, though, came in last of the six networks with only 1.5 million viewers, approximately half the audience of Fox News.
Fox News’s prime time coverage in the aftermath of the special counsel’s testimony also blew away the competitors. They had 4.3 million viewers tune in to watch Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham. The network nearly doubled MSNBC’s prime time audience of 2.3 million people. CNN, again in last, only had 1.2 million viewers.
