Conservative political commentator Laura Ingraham said Tuesday that Republicans must work with Democrats to pass legislation or they will accomplish nothing.
“There’s no point pretending that the GOP will pass major legislation on its own,” she tweeted Tuesday morning. “Must either work w/Dems or do nothing.”
Ingraham’s tweet came hours after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell abandoned efforts to pass a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare.
The effort to repeal and replace the controversial healthcare law collapsed Tuesday night after two more Republican senators announced they could not support the Senate GOP’s bill.
Ingraham said last week called on McConnell to step aside if he couldn’t push an Obamacare repeal through the Senate.
