Fox News host Jesse Watters said calling voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election “human error” is the same as calling Pearl Harbor “human error.”
Watters’s comments came during his Sunday appearance at the Student Action Summit, hosted by Turning Point USA in Florida.
After repeating claims from “hundreds of eye-witnesses” who say they saw ballot stuffing, backdating of ballots, and voter intimidation, Watters bashed “the media” for calling fraud “human error.”
“All of these things cut against the president, they never actually help the president. So, when you say that’s fraud, the media says it ‘human error.’ Now, that would be like calling Pearl Harbor ‘human error.’ Hundreds of Japanese pilots accidentally crashed into our Pacific fleet at the very same time. No, it’s preposterous,” he said.
On Dec. 7, 1941, Japanese forces made a surprise attack on a U.S. naval base near Honolulu, Hawaii, known as Pearl Harbor. The attack left nearly 2,400 Americans dead and almost 1,000 wounded.
Watters is among many Republican figures, including President Trump, who continue to repeat claims of election and voter fraud from November’s presidential election.
Trump has refused to concede to President-elect Joe Biden since he was first announced the declared winner by media outlets a month ago. Biden’s win was secured by the Electoral College last week, which granted him 306 votes compared to Trump’s 232.
On Sunday, the Trump campaign issued its first independent Supreme Court filing, in hopes of reversing actions taken by Pennsylvania’s high court.
Trump’s team is planning to remain in litigation into 2021 up until Inauguration Day on Jan. 20.
