Team Hillary is very unhappy their candidate has to compete in an actual competitive Democratic primary.
Hillary for America Chief Strategist Joel Benenson was asked whether Hillary Clinton would debate Bernie Sanders again before April’s New York primary. Benenson responded by complaining about Bernie’s campaign going negative on Clinton.
CNN host Kate Bolduan reminded him, “that doesnt have anything to do with the debate though! Why not debate?”
Benenson added, “let’s see the tone of the campaign he wants to run before we get to any other questions.”

Clinton herself has been a model for positive campaigning, with the exception of instances including her entire 2008 campaign against then-Senator Obama, and her current campaign against Sanders.
