STORRS, Conn. (AP) — The University of Connecticut and jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney are collaborating on a digital engineering lab that will give the university’s Engineering School faculty and students access to a major aerospace manufacturer and extends the company’s reach into a research university.
The Pratt & Whitney Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center at UConn was announced Friday. The venture also will make it possible for the university to seek grant money, said Kazem Kazerounian, interim dean of the Engineering School.
