UFC star Conor McGregor received a shoutout from President Trump after complimenting his administration.
“Phenomenal President,” the fighter responded to a Trump tweet on Monday bragging about accomplishments during the first three years of his presidency. “As he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet. Early stages of term also. Incredible.”
McGregor further described the president as “quite possibly the USA GOAT,” a term that means “greatest of all time.”

McGregor beat Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC 246 in around 40 seconds over the weekend.
Trump responded to the Irishman’s tweet Tuesday by congratulating him on the victory.

The president has maintained a friendly relationship with some UFC fighters. Last month, he praised Bryce Mitchell following his win against Matt Sayles, after which the fighter offered to beat up politicians critical of Trump.
