Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., claimed on Friday night that President-elect Donald Trump supports his plan to repeal and replace Obamacare in one day, a break with congressional Republicans plans to attack both issues separately.
“I just spoke to @RealDonaldTrump and he fully supports my plan to replace Obamacare the same day we repeal it. The time to act is now,” Paul tweeted Friday.

Republicans have planned a quick repeal of Obamacare, though they have been met with resistance from House Freedom Caucus members who are upset over funding for Planned Parenthood.
Earlier on Friday, Paul said his problem with the GOP’s budget resolution is that it does not balance the budget.
Vice President-elect Mike Pence has said the legislation would include a “framework” for a replacement, though GOP leaders have not explained when this process would be undertaken.
Paul’s tweet did not point to a different plan he has to tackle both components of reforming the healthcare law.
