Eric C. Brown is taking over the Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development, County Executive Rushern Baker announced Monday.
Baker told County Council members of the appointment during a breakfast meeting Monday. Brown had been designated as acting director.
Brown’s appointment must be approved by the council; he takes over from Betty Hager Francis.
In a biography released by the county executive’s office, Brown is an “experienced housing expert” who has served in government housing roles in Maryland, Mississippi, Louisiana and Pennsylvania.
