Twitter users rushed to attack George Papadopoulos after news surfaced that the former Trump campaign adviser had pleaded guilty in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling, only to find out they had identified the wrong person.
“For the nth time, I am NOT Trump’s foreign policy adviser! I have NO association with the Trump camp! NONE!” the other George Papadopoulos tweeted, clearing his name.

This Papadopoulos is a Wall Street Journal expert panelist and is a certified financial planner. One user wrote, “When is your court date?You lied to the FBI for the liar in chief. This doesn’t end well for anyone associated with 45!”
He tweeted, “I used to hate my name while taking exams. Now this name association has become a nightmare, sad!”
