Former President Donald Trump and two of his adult children are now set to testify in a New York state investigation of the Trump Organization’s business practices after fighting orders to appear for depositions.
Trump, along with Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, is scheduled to testify July 15, according to court filings. They have until June 13 to apply for a stay of the order from the New York Court of Appeals, according to NBC News.
The civil inquiry is being run by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is looking into whether the Trump Organization improperly manipulated asset valuations for tax and business benefit.

Last month, an appeals court denied a bid by the former president to avoid testifying. “Once again, the courts have ruled that Donald Trump must comply with our lawful investigation into his financial dealings,” James said in a statement on the appeals court ruling at the time. “We will continue to follow the facts of this case and ensure that no one can evade the law.”
Trump has accused James, a Democrat, of harboring political motivations in her investigation and has denied any allegations of wrongdoing.
