Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, reportedly said politicians can’t keep going down a “dumbass road” in the handling of President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
“We can’t keep going down this partisan, picky, stupid, dumbass road that has happened around here for so long,” Hatch said, according to a tweet from CNN reporter Manu Raju. “I am sick and tired of it to be honest with you and I’m tired of the partisanship.”

Hatch also said in explaining his frustration over the handling of the nomination that he was not aware of any instance in which Kavanaugh had offended anybody.
Hatch says that Brett Kavanaugh is a “choir boy” who has “not offended anybody as far as I can see.”

Multiple Democrats have come out in opposition of Trump’s nomination, many even suggesting it would be best to wait on voting for a new justice until after the 2018 midterm elections, when they hope to win back a majority in the House.
