Star of the 90210 reboot series AnnaLynne McCord went viral on Thursday when she apologized to Russian President Vladimir Putin in a video.
McCord posted the video to Twitter, telling Putin she felt sorry for a seeming lack of love in his life.
“Dear President Vladimir Putin, I’m so sorry that I wasn’t your mother,” McCord said. “If I was your mother, you would have been so loved.”

Twitter users immediately responded to the video, pointing out her blatant savior mentality. Director Stephen Ford tweeted: “‘I know how to end the war. Quick someone get my phone!'”

Comedian Jessica Kirson took an opportunity to write the video into a joke.

Reporter Dov Kleiman wrote that the video deserved some infamy.
“Nearly 21 million views in 20 hours,” Kleiman wrote. “Early entry to the all-time cringe hall of fame.”
The video has since garnered 25 million views.

Users quickly remembered a similar video McCord made in 2020 after George Floyd’s murder. This video received under 300,000 views on Twitter and 80,000 views on Instagram. At the time, she misspelled Floyd’s name and also apologized to Chauvin because, as she claimed, “We failed you.”
“So where did we go wrong Officer Derek?” McCord said. “Where did we go so wrong that you could put your knee on the neck of one of your fellow citizens and not take it off when he begged to be able to breathe?”

Newsmax host Greg Kelly shared the video Friday, saying, “Who is this loony tune?”
“She seems to think she’s some sort of ‘angel’ but she’s just a NEW AGE Crack-Pot! (PS: ladies of Instagram: just because you’re hot doesn’t mean whatever you have to say is ‘deep.’),” he added.
