Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., made an unannounced appearance Saturday at the general session of the Democratic National Committee meeting in Las Vegas.
Multiple reporters noted that Reid’s appearance was a “surprise” as he wasn’t on the event’s schedule.

Early reports indicate he spoke about the feud between the White House and Rep. Frederica Wilson, D-Fla., over President Trump’s condolence call with a Gold Star family and healthcare. “Healthcare has basically been ruined by Trump,” Reid said.

Earlier this month, Trump announced he would stop paying the subsidies to health insurance companies that are meant to offset costs for lower-income people, which Democratic leaders panned as “sabotage” of Obamacare. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has indicated that it is open to supporting an Obamacare stabilization bill.
Reid’s appearance at the DNC gathering comes as some liberal members of the Democratic Party are upset at chairman Tom Perez for removing or demoting party officials who had supported Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison’s rival campaign to lead the group.
