Montana congressman self-quarantines after possible exposure to coronavirus at event with Kimberly Guilfoyle

Republican Montana Rep. Greg Gianforte announced that he would be self-quarantining after coming in contact with Kimberly Guilfoyle after she tested positive for the coronavirus.

Gianforte and lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Kristen Juras both attended a fundraising event with Guilfoyle and Donald Trump Jr. on Tuesday. Both Gianforte and Juras said on Saturday that they would be obtaining tests for the coronavirus after spending time with Guilfoyle, who tested positive for the virus on Friday.

“Since learning of their potential exposure, Greg, Susan, and Kristen have adhered to recommended guidelines. Out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of others, they will self-quarantine, be tested for COVID-19, and suspend in-person campaign events pending test results,” said a representative for Gianforte.

The Trump campaign announced on Friday that Guilfoyle tested positive for the virus. Guilfoyle is in a relationship with Trump Jr., but the campaign said that the couple had no interactions with the president during the time of her infection.
