Eric Trump: Media handling of Trump-Ukraine situation poses ‘a danger to this nation’

Eric Trump accused the media of being “a danger to this nation” in regards to their coverage of the ongoing scandal between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Back in July, Trump requested Zelensky open an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The controversial request, which became public knowledge after an unnamed CIA officer filed a whistleblower complaint, has led to an impeachment inquiry by the House of Representatives.

Trump, 35, appeared on Fox & Friends Monday morning to discuss the media and how Trump allies were treated during the Sunday morning news shows. During the segment, the show aired clips of Republican Sen. Ron Johnson on Meet The Press and Republican Rep. Jim Jordan on This Week with George Stephanopoulos. In both appearances, the conservative politicians tried to pivot the conversation away from the president, while the hosts repeatedly asked questions about Trump.

Eric Trump argued, “They know they’re not going to win in 2020. Right? Just yesterday, couple days ago, it came out, 3.5% unemployment. The lowest unemployment in 50 years in this country, arguably the lowest unemployment in the history of our nation, right? They know they can’t win.”

“This whole thing is a clown show; it’s a clown show. They know they can’t win. They’re going to have their opportunity to win in six years. They should get very excited,” he added. “The media in doing that, they pose a danger to this nation. I mean, look at the advocacy there.”
