ISIS-aligned group calls for attacks on San Francisco, Las Vegas

A new video released by an Islamic State-aligned group calls for terrorist attacks on San Francisco and Las Vegas, according to a report published late Monday.

Federal officials discovered the video on Sunday. The short promotional film praises Omar Mateen, the shooter who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., earlier this month.

The video showcases popular tourist spots in both western cities, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Financial District and Powell Street in the Bay Area.

“Arise, oh Muslims and kill the unbelievers in their own homes,” the speaker states during a clip of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The sudden message comes at the conclusion of Gay Pride Month, a celebration that San Francisco is known for.

It’s not the first time a group that supports the Islamic State or the terrorist group have called on attacks of U.S. cities, including Washington, D.C., and New York City.
