Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe responded to the wrong tweet of President Trump’s on Thursday.
Trump said he was looking forward to meeting with the Japanese leader at the White House later in the day.
Looking forward to seeing my friend Prime Minister @AbeShinzo of Japan at noon. Will be discussing North Korea and Trade.

Abe retweeted that tweet, but then responded to another tweet in which Trump was critical of Republican Sen. Jeff Flake.
“How could Jeff Flake, who is setting record low polling numbers in Arizona and was therefore humiliatingly forced out of his own Senate seat without even a fight (and who doesn’t have a clue), think about running for office, even a lower one, again? Let’s face it, he’s a Flake!” Trump wrote.
Abe responded: “I took look forward to having fruitful talks with my great friend President @realDonaldTrump as always.”

Abe’s tweet was deleted about an hour after it had been sent.
Flake later replied, “Et tu, Abe?”

The mishap brought to mind other incidents during Trump and Abe’s previous meetings. In November, Abe took a tumble while playing golf with Trump during the latter’s trip to Asia. During that same trip, Trump was roasted for dumping fish food into a koi pond, even though Abe had done so first. During a meeting in the Oval Office last year, Abe was caught on camera rolling his eyes after an extended handshake with Trump.
