Chechen leader warns Elon Musk: Putin will beat ‘the hell out of you’

Conquering space flight, electrical vehicles, artificial intelligence, and the limits of human consciousness is not enough for Elon Musk. He recently challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to a high-stakes fight to save the people of Ukraine from Russian invaders.

But now, Putin stooge and head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, is warning Musk to be careful about his lofty ambitions as judo master Putin “will look unsportsmanlike when he beats the hell out of you, a much weaker opponent.”

ELON MUSK CHALLENGES PUTIN TO SINGLE COMBAT OVER UKRAINE

“Elon Musk, a word of advice: Don’t measure your strength against that of Putin’s. You’re in two completely different leagues. And it’s not even about martial arts or judo,” Kadyrov wrote on Telegram, according to a translation Musk tweeted Wednesday. “In order to change from the gentle [effeminate] Elona into the brutal Elon you need to be. I propose training at one of several centers in the Chechen Republic.”

Musk jokingly changed his Twitter name to Elona Musk after reading Kadyrov’s sizzling remarks. But Musk was undeterred by the Chechen leader’s warnings, rebuffing his offer for training and insisting that Putin is the one who should be jittery.

“Thank you for the offer, but such excellent training would give me too much of an advantage. If he is afraid to fight, I will agree to use only my left hand and I am not even left-handed,” Musk responded, signing off as Elona.

The SpaceX CEO initiated the challenge in a viral tweet Monday, saying, “I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to single combat. Stakes are [Ukraine].”

Musk has been critical of Putin and has worked to aid the people of Ukraine by supplying them with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service.

Kadyrov has served as the head of the Chechen Republic since 2007. The office was established during the Second Chechen War in which Russian forces quelled a separatist movement in the Muslim Russian republic. The Chechen leader is known for his stalwart support of Putin and recently posted a video to his Telegram showing him alongside Russian forces in Ukraine.

In his Telegram post, Kadyrov listed several places at which Musk could train, including Russian Special Forces University and Akhmat Fight Club. He also included Grozny Chechen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company in that list so Musk could learn “how to monitor and update social network accounts.”

“You will return from the Chechen Republic a completely different person Elona, that is, Elon,” Kadyrov taunted.

The Telegram account associated with Kadyrov is unverified, and the Washington Examiner has not been able to confirm independently that the Telegram account belongs to him. The account has more than 1 million subscribers and has been referenced by multiple outlets, including Al Jazeera and Reuters.

Seeing Musk’s reply Tuesday evening, Kadyrov applauded him for changing his name to Elona on Twitter, noting that the name was an improvement. Kadyrov also cautioned Musk against trying to compete with his president, emphasizing that he is Putin’s foot soldier and would have to challenge him back.

“Then it would no longer be a funny, harmless correspondence. Save your hands, they’ll need to tweet,” he quipped ominously in a follow-up Telegram post.
