The Westminster Police Department has identified a Reisterstown man as the driver who fled last Friday after his truck crashed into a car and killed a McDaniel College student.
Shawron Gabriel Bibbs, 29, was allegedly driving the Ford pickup trick that was speeding on West Main Street in Westminster at about 11 p.m. that night when it struck the rear of a Chevy Cavalier that had just left McDaniel College. The crash killed Thomas Rouleau, of Gilboa, N.Y., who was sitting in the rear passenger seat.

The four other students in the car were injured and taken for treatment to Carroll Hospital Center and University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Bibbs’ last known address is in the unit block of Glouchester Road in Reisterstown.
Police have issued a warrant charging Bibbs with eight crimes, including three felonies: negligent manslaughter, theft over $500 and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.
Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Bibbs’ arrest. Anyone with information should call Westminster Police at 410-848-4646, or the anonymous tip line, 410-857-8477.
