Republican members of Congress interrupted the House Democrats’ sit-in late Wednesday night to shout out opposing views.
During an informal speech by Rep. Brad Sherman, D-Calif., Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, confronted his colleague, walking up to him pointing and yelling, “Radical Islam killed these people!”
In the background, another person, likely a Democrat, responded by chanting, “Don’t let terrorists have a gun!”
The House convened for votes late Wednesday after pushing them back due to the sit-in all afternoon and evening. House Democrats chanted over Speaker Paul Ryan throughout the process, calling for votes on gun control measures.
