Who: Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind. What: After accusing congressional colleagues of wanting him lynched because he is black, Carson told The Washington Examiner, “I was speaking figuratively.”
Why It’s Dim: There was nothing figurative about what he said: “Some of them in Congress right now of this Tea Party movement would love to see you and me hanging on a tree.”
Cure: He should be made to apologize from the House floor.
