A plane landed safely after large pieces of it fell off while it was midair over a Colorado suburb.
A United Airlines flight that departed from Denver International Airport on Saturday afternoon to fly to Hawaii turned around after it reported an engine issue. The pilots landed the plane safely, and no injuries have been reported, according to the local police department.

A number of large pieces fell from the sky and landed in Broomfield, a suburb about 20 miles from Denver.

The National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the cause of the incident, said the police department.
