Allen announces campaign staff additions

Former Virginia Sen. and Gov. George Allen announced more additions to his campaign team Friday, as he revs up his bid to re-claim his old U.S. Senate seat in Virginia in 2012.

Richard Crouse, who has worked on campaigns throughout the state and most recently as the political director of the state Republican Party, will be the campaign’s political director.

Terri Hauser, “an original A-Team member,” as described in a release from Allen’s campaign, will serve as director of policy. Hauser was the communications director for Allen’s 2000 campaign and director of the Virginia Liaison Office from 1994-98.

Allen will pick up Noah Rogers from Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s office as his director of scheduling. His communications director will be Katie Wright, former deputy communications director for the Republican National Committee.

Last week, Allen announced he was bringing back longtime adviser Mike Thomas to manage the 2012 campaign. Thomas also ran Allen’s 1993 gubernatorial campaign.
