Baltimore Co. lauds 100th anniversary of building

Baltimore County officials Monday are celebrating the 100th anniversary of 308 Allegheny Ave., an address they said has served the county in some capacity since 1907.

The building was once Towson High School, later, Towson Elementary School and, still later, housed the county?s Board of Education offices. Today, it?s home to the county?s human resources department, officials said.

The public is invited to attend a commemorative open house between 10 a.m. and noon today to recognize past students, school system and county employees, former superintendents and the current Towson High School administration. The program begins at 11 a.m.
