Jeffrey Dye, the president of the Passaic’s chapter of the NAACP, blamed the “Jewish media” for getting him fired from his job at the New Jersey Labor Department after it was revealed he had a history of controversial comments on his Facebook page.
“Ok To Everyone Looking At This Racist Bullshit I Want You To Be Clear, The Statement ( ‘I Don’t Talk To Fucking Jews’ ) Is Simply A Lie By David Wallstien Who Is A Jewish Reporter For The New Jersey Globe,” Dye said in a Facebook post Wednesday. Dye also blamed another Jewish Assemblyman, Gary Schaer, of trying to get the “Jewish Media” to fire him.
Schaer, a political ally of Gov. Phil Murphy, said Murphy had made a mistake in hiring Dye in the first place. “His election was at best unfortunate. He is divisive,” Schaer said. “He has not bordered but well-surpassed anti-Semitism. He has also made comments that were anti-Latino and anti-White.”
Dye was fired last week from his job at the labor department after anti-Semitic and racist statements on Facebook were exposed by the New Jersey Globe. When confronted by a reporter about his posts, Dye responded “I don’t talk to f—ing Jews.” “Get the fuck out of here,” he added in a brief phone interview.
The chapter president’s post included condemnation of U.S. support of Israel and claims that Jews are trying “to divide and conquer blacks and black and Latino people for power.” He has used the “Jewish media” anti-Semitic trope in several of his posts. He praised Nation of Islam leader and notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. Dye also peddled Holocaust revisionism, stating: “The black holocaust has been & continues to be the worst of them all even though white media wants to make you think it’s the Jews.”
Dye has yet to resign his position as they head of the local chapter of the NAACP, and the New Jersey Conference has yet to make a determination about his future. The Washington Examiner has reached out to the national organization for comment on the story.
