Sen. Pat Toomey announced Thursday that his campaign raised $6.1 million during the third fundraising quarter ahead of the final month before election day.
Toomey, who is facing off with Democratic challenger Katie McGinty, raised $5 million for his campaign directly and another $1.1 million for the Toomey Pennsylvania Victory Fund and Toomey Victory Committee. The Pennsylvania Republican has raised over $28 million in support of his campaign.
The campaign declined to reveal how much they have in cash on hand.
“Pat Toomey is grateful for the overwhelming generosity from every corner of the Commonwealth throughout this campaign,” spokesman Ted Kwong said in a statement. “There is clearly strong support for Pat Toomey’s independent leadership in Washington to grow the economy and keep Pennsylvanians safe, especially when compared to Katie McGinty’s hyper-partisan record of middle-class tax hikes, dangerous far-left foreign policy stances, and self-dealing ethics scandals.”
As for McGinty, she raked in $6.3 million during the third quarter, including $5.2 million for her own campaign. The remaining $1.1 million will go to the state party.
With just over a month until election day, the two are in a dead heat. McGinty currently holds the slightest of leads over Toomey, topping him by 0.6-points according to the latest RealClearPolitics average.
Of the GOP Senate candidates who have released their third quarter numbers, only Sen. Marco Rubio raised more than the Pennsylvania Republican, posting a $9.6 million haul. Ohio Sen. Rob Portman revealed Tuesday a $4.5 million quarter, while Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson announced his campaign raised $4 million.
