Baltimore County police still searching for $20,000 ring

Baltimore County police continue to search for a suspect who ran out of a jewelry store with a diamond ring worth more than $20,000.

Detectives said the suspect approached a counter at the Charles Nusinov and Sons Jewelers in the 8700 block of Satyr Hill Road at 6 p.m. Jan. 11 and asked to see a ring in the display counter.

When the clerk took out the ring and handed it to the suspect, he ran out of the store toward Joppa Road, police said.

A video camera inside of the jewelry store caught the suspect on tape just before the theft.

The store described the ring as an 18-carat yellow gold band with a 2.74 carat round diamond at the center mounting, and multiple square and small round diamonds on the band, according to police.

Police are looking for a white male, between 20 and 30 years old, 5-foot-11 with a thin build and short blond hair.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020 or detectives at the Parkville Precinct at 410-887-5310.
