Paris authorities said Monday a 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with plotting to assassinate French President Emmanuel Macron during President Trump’s visit to the country next week.
French investigators said the man planned to attack Macron on Bastille Day, July 14, during a parade taking place on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, according to CNN.
